October has always been painted in shades of pink — ribbons, stories, and moments of hope. But for me, it’s more than a color. It’s a heartbeat. It’s a memory. It’s my sister, Heather.
Heather passed away in November after battling triple-negative breast cancer, one of the most aggressive forms of the disease. Even now, it feels unreal to write those words. She was full of life — always laughing, always finding light even in the darkest corners. Heather had this incredible way of making everyone feel seen and loved.
When she got sick, she faced every single day with a strength that amazed me. She’d smile through pain, crack jokes during treatments, and talk about all the things she still wanted to do. She never let cancer take her joy — and that’s what I hold onto most.
After losing her, I started making jewelry as a way to keep my hands and heart busy. What I didn’t expect was how healing it would be. Each piece I create feels like a little whisper from her — a sparkle that says, “I’m still here.”
This October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I want to share her story — not because it’s easy, but because it matters. I want to remind others to listen to their bodies, to get checked, and to never take a single day for granted.
In Heather’s honor, I’ve created a small collection of pink-inspired jewelry, pieces that represent strength, love, and hope. A portion of each sale this month will go toward breast cancer research and support — because Heather believed in helping others, and I want to carry that on for her.
If you’ve lost someone to breast cancer, or if you’re walking through that fight yourself, please know — you’re not alone. There’s a whole community out here holding you close in spirit.
Heather’s story isn’t just about loss — it’s about love that refuses to fade. It shines in every gem, every shared memory, every heartbeat that keeps going.
💖 For Heather. For hope. For every woman whose light still shines.
With Love- Nicole
